Whatever your capabilities and experience, you can join in the fun. Projects may include gardening, animal grooming, tree trimming, painting, carpentry, invasive plant removal – or even a little paperwork. Your help will make a meaningful difference to the animals and visitors at Leilani Farm Sanctuary of Maui. Vegan lunch served to volunteers. Mahalo! RSVP by emailing info@leilanifarmsanctuary.org

Some Maui restaurant tips

Maka by Mana is an awesome new restaurant.

Make sure to visit the vegan-operated Leilani Farm Sanctuary of Maui.

There’s great vegan ice cream at Coconut Glen’s.

Ko at the Fairmont Kea Lani in Wailea has an awesome vegan menu. Go with a local resident to get a kama`aina discount.

Some posts:

There’s now plentiful free parking in Pa`ia in a dirt lot next to the Patsy Mink Office on Baldwin Ave. across Maka by Mana.

Emergency at Leilani Farm Sanctuary of Maui

Note from Leilani Farm Sanctuary of Maui:

Tropical storm Wali brought down a gigantic tree on the animals’ enclosure, collapsing the fence and crushing three animal houses.

Miraculously, two blind roosters and four chicks survived in air spaces of the wreckage, but one rooster suffered a broken wing. A rabbit and tortoise escaped injury in their tunnel, but another tortoise is still unaccounted for. The animals have been moved temporarily, but we need an excavator to move the massive tree, funds are needed to replace the animals houses, and the fence has to be repaired. If you can help us, please donate through our website at www.leilanifarmsanctuary.org. Any amount will be helpful. We are eager to return the animals to their usual environment.
